PULSE TERMS & CONDITIONS
Release of Liability & Assumption of Risk
By participating in a Pulse retreat, I acknowledge that I am voluntarily joining a wellness and cultural travel experience in China.
I understand that the retreat may include activities such as Baduanjin, meditation, traditional Chinese therapeutic massage, hot spring bathing, forest walks, hiking, cultural workshops, transportation between destinations, and other wellness experiences.
I understand that participation in all activities is entirely voluntary and that I am responsible for deciding whether each activity is appropriate for my own physical and mental condition.
I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with participating in this retreat, including but not limited to illness, injury, accidents, travel delays, transportation incidents, weather conditions, and any other risks that may occur while participating in retreat activities.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I release and hold harmless Pulse, its founders, employees, retreat leaders, local partners, guides, instructors, drivers, hotels, wellness practitioners, and service providers from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from my participation, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Medical Disclaimer
Pulse provides educational, cultural, and wellness experiences only.
Nothing offered during this retreat should be considered medical advice, medical diagnosis, or medical treatment.
Guests are encouraged to consult their own healthcare providers before participating if they have any medical concerns.
Participant Responsibility
Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically and mentally able to participate.
Participants agree to inform Pulse of any relevant medical conditions, allergies, mobility limitations, or dietary restrictions before the retreat begins.
Photography & Media
Photographs and videos may be taken during the retreat for promotional purposes.
Guests who prefer not to appear in photographs or videos should notify Pulse in writing before the retreat begins.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Reservation
A 50% deposit is required to secure your reservation.
The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to departure.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
If You Have Paid in Full
Cancellation requests are subject to the following refund policy:

More than 30 days before departure: You will receive a full refund of your retreat fee, excluding any non-refundable payment processing fees.

7–29 days before departure: You will receive a refund of 70% of the total retreat fee. A cancellation fee equal to 30% of the total retreat fee, plus any non-refundable payment processing fees, will be deducted.

Less than 7 days before departure: No refunds will be issued.
The above policy applies to the total retreat fee, regardless of whether payment was made in full.
If You Have Paid the Deposit Only
More than 30 days before departure
If you cancel more than 30 days before departure, before paying the remaining balance, your deposit will be refunded, excluding any non-refundable payment processing fees.
Within 30 days of departure
(The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days before departure.)
If the remaining balance has not been paid within this timeframe, the booking will be considered cancelled by the guest, and the deposit is non-refundable.
Payment Processing Fees
Payment processing fees charged by third-party payment providers are non-refundable and will be deducted from any eligible refund.
Transfer of Reservation
Guests may transfer their reservation to another participant with written approval from Pulse.The replacement participant must meet all retreat requirements.
Automatic Final Payment Authorization
By submitting your reservation, you authorize Pulse to automatically charge the remaining balance to the same payment method used for your deposit 30 days prior to the retreat departure date, unless the balance has already been paid.
If you wish to use a different payment method or need to make any changes to your payment information, please contact us by email at least 7 days before the final payment date.
If the payment cannot be processed using the original payment method, we will contact you to arrange an alternative payment method. Full payment must be received 30 days before the retreat departure date.
A reminder email will be sent prior to the scheduled final payment date.
By completing the payment page, you authorize Pulse to charge the remaining balance to the same payment method 30 days prior to the retreat departure date.
Cancellation by Pulse
Pulse reserves the right to cancel or postpone a retreat if minimum participation is not reached or if circumstances beyond our reasonable control make operating the retreat unsafe or impractical.
If Pulse cancels the retreat, all payments made directly to Pulse will be refunded in full.
Pulse is not responsible for airfare, visa fees, travel insurance, or any personal travel expenses.
Force Majeure
Pulse shall not be responsible for delays, cancellations, itinerary changes, or interruptions resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, government restrictions, public health emergencies, transportation disruptions, labor strikes, war, civil unrest, or other force majeure events.
Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended and should include:
